In precision sheet metal processing, the cost of processing decreases as the thickness of the material becomes thinner due to material costs. This trend is particularly strong with high-cost materials such as aluminum and stainless steel. However, despite using the same material, thicker sheets can sometimes be cheaper due to factors like availability and ease of procurement.
